Paneer Karai (Paneer with Tomato Sauce)

Ingredients
4 tsp. Olive oil |
1/2 tsp. Ground cinnamon |
1/4 tsp. Ground cloves |
1/4 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes |
1/2 tsp. Garam masala |
1/2 tsp. Paprika |
2 Tbsp Ginger root, raw (minced) |
2 clove Garlic, raw (minced) |
1 large White onions (finely diced) |
1/2 tsp. Salt |
1 15-ounce can No salt added diced tomatoes |
2 cup Water |
6 ounce Paneer (cut into 1/2 inch cubes) |
1/2 cup Coriander (cilantro) leaves, raw |
Instructions
Add the cinnamon, cloves, red pepper flakes, garam masala, and paprika.
Cook for 2 minutes. Stir continuously.
Adjust the heat to lower so the spices don't smoke or burn.
Add the ginger and garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Stir continuously.
Add the diced onion and cook for 4 minutes. Stir frequently.
Add the salt, tomatoes, and water.
Reduce the heat to medium high and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Cover and simmer over low medium heat for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Add the paneer, stir, and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the cilantro leaves, stir, and serve.
Serve this recipe with one of these starch side dishes.
