Spiced Lamb Ragout

4 ounces lamb with sauceThis recipe can easily be multiplied and makes very good leftovers.
Serve with Brown Rice or Jasmine Rice or Low Sodium Jasmine Rice

Serve with Caesar Salad or Parmesan Squash or Parmesan Zucchini or Sauteed Spinach or Sauteed Spinach with Roasted Garlic or Spinach Garlic Goodenough
Ingredients
| 2 tsp. Olive oil |
| 3 clove Garlic, raw (minced) |
| 1 large White or yellow onions (finely diced) |
| 16 ounces Lamb shoulder (cut into 1/2 inch cubes) |
| 4 cups No salt added vegetable stock |
| 3 Tbsp. No salt added tomato paste |
| 2 tsp. Molasses |
| 1 1/2 tsp. Five Spice Powder |
| 1 dash Black pepper (to taste) |
| 1/2 cup Red wine |
| 1/4 tsp. Salt |
Instructions
Place a medium dutch oven on the range over medium high heat.
Add the olive oil and then the garlic and onion.
Cook for about 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add the lamb shoulder and cook for about 3 minutes. Stir frequently.
Add the vegetable stock, tomato paste, five spice powder, molasses, pepper, wine, and salt.
Stir and cover.
Place in the oven and cook for 2 hours. Stir occasionally.
Serve.
Serve this recipe with one of these starch side dishes.
