Jalapeno and Cheddar Stuffed Hamburger

Serve with Cole Slaw or Parsnip French Fries
Ingredients
2 ounce Reduced fat cheddar cheese (grated) |
2 Tbsp. Coriander (cilantro) leaves, raw (coarsely chopped) |
2 Tbsp. Pickled jalapeno peppers (minced) |
7 ounces 95/5 Ground beef |
1/2 tsp. Chili powder |
1/4 tsp., whole Ground cumin |
2 roll Whole wheat hamburger buns (or gluten-free hamburger buns) |
Instructions
Form into two small discs.
Place the ground beef, chili powder and cumin in a bowl and fold together until well blended.
Pat the hamburger mixture into 4 discs.
Place one of the cheese discs in between two of the hamburger discs.
Pat together to seal the cheese inside the burger.
Chill well.
When ready to cook, grill over a hot grill or under a broiler. Serve with lettuce, tomato and a hamburger bun.
Serve this recipe with one of these vegetable side dishes.
