Curried Tartar Sauce

This recipe can be multiplied and keeps well for about a week in the refrigerator.

Curried Tartar Sauce


6 Tbsp. Reduced fat mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. Pickle relish, sweet
1 Tbsp Shallots, raw (finely minced)
1/2 tsp. Curry powder
1/4 tsp. Garam masala
1 to taste Black pepper
1/8 tsp. Cayenne pepper


Place the mayonnaise, relish, shallot, curry powder, garam masala, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl.

Fold together until well blended and chill for at least two hours before serving.

This tartar sauce will work for almost anything that you would use tartar sauce for (read that fish), but it’s great on a lot of other things. Use it as an alternative spread for sandwiches, for example.
