Croutons, Store Bought
Look in the grocery for the croutons that have the least fat. Most of the packages don’t have the nutrition information broken down per serving of croutons, so look for one that has less than 10 grams of fat in 100 grams of croutons. A serving should be about 20 grams so that’s only 2 grams of fat.
The interesting thing about buying croutons from the store is that the higher fat ones don’t taste as good. Because foods that are higher in fat will often take on a flavor of old food faster this is another good reason for shopping for ones with less fat.
As with any prepared food you will have to experiment with croutons and which ones you like best.
