I am presently on warfarin (Coumadin) 10mgs./day. I am looking for information about fresh blueberries and how much is a reasonable amount per day and if PT/INR levels are affected by eating blueberries. I was eating some in my cereal (about 1/4 cup) and want to know if this can be in my diet daily.
A quarter cup of blueberries has about 7 micrograms (mcg) of Vitamin K and would be considered safe to have with your breakfast.
There is an easy way to find out about the nutrition content of any food. The USDA National Nutrient Database is at this link:

By entering an ingredient and choosing a database (use "SR Legacy" for ingredients) this website will report the complete nutritional values of any ingredient and many prepared foods.
Look for "Vitamin K (phylloquinone)" about halfway down the page. If it is not listed, the food or ingredient that you searched on doesn't contain enough Vitamin K to be reported.
