I have looked all over the label and online, but I cannot find out how much Vitamin K is in a serving of Low Sodium V-8 juice. There are leafy vegetables listed in the ingredients, but Vitamin K is not listed on the label. Is this safe to drink if I am taking Coumadin?
We are not able to give you a definitive answer.
The good news is that the USDA database lists "Tomato and vegetable juice, low sodium" as having 13 micrograms (mcg) of Vitamin K in a one cup (8 fluid ounce) serving. This is encouraging and is consistent with their reporting on the regular sodium added version.
The bad news is that the manufacturer of the product, the Campbell Soup Company, is not helpful at all. Here is their reply to our query:
We received your message and appreciate your taking the time to contact Campbell Soup Company.
It is not required for any food company to analyze for Vitamin K. Campbell Soup does not analyze for Vitamin K.

We are really disappointed in this response. It would be so easy for them to calculate this. It takes us about 10 minutes to perform nutrition analysis on our recipes and for them to offer this would be a great service.
Given the information from the USDA website you should be safe.
