In your experience have you found an issue with those that eat milk chocolate vs. dark chocolate and potential interactions with warfarin?
Both milk chocolate and dark chocolate are low in Vitamin K. I have not seen any reports of chocolate having an effect on INR levels in those who take Coumadin® (warfarin).
There was a small study published a few years back showing that the antioxidants in dark chocolate might have an effect on platelet activity, inhibiting them from clotting. The effect was slight, however, and the patients were not taking Coumadin.
