Oat Bran
As with any cereal grain (wheat, oats, etc.) there are three parts – the germ, bran and endosperm (see Flour). The bran is the outer layer or husk of the grain (see Fiber). Oat bran is a great source of fiber. Each tablespoon has a gram of fiber. The recommended daily allowance is about 25 grams.
